The guitarist performs April 12 with local favorite Little Red Rooster Band opening
Bucks County Community College presents the Bucks Blues Explosion, featuring guitarist Duke Robillard and Little Red Rooster Blues Band at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12, as part of the Bucks Live! series.
Robillard is one of the blues’ most illustrious legacies, from being a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, bandleader, studio sideman, producer and educator. He will perform after Little Red Rooster Band takes the stage. Since its formation in 1988, it has become one of the Delaware Valley’s premier blues bands, consistently delivering its own brand of blues, always combined with a crowd pleasing, high-energy performance.
The concert takes place in the Kevin and Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center, located inside the Gateway Center building on the campus at 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, where there is ample free parking. The theater is equipped with audio-loop technology for the hearing impaired.
Tickets for Bucks Blues Explosion are $15, and free for BCCC students with current ID. In addition, a limited number of VIP tickets are available for $25, which includes a pre-concert reception with light hors d’oeuvres and two glasses of wine or beer. VIP ticket holders must be age 21 or older.
Tickets can be purchased at bucks.edu/tickets or at the door. Discounts are available for Bucks employees, alumni, seniors, active military, and groups. Call the box office at 215–968–8469 for more information.
