The Times

The Great Books Discussion Group, which has entered its 64th year of continuous bi-weekly meetings, has announced several upcoming readings.

These include: Antigone by Sophocles on April 3; The Overcoat by Gogol on April 17; Alive by Sharon Solwitz on May 1; White Nights by Dostoyevsky on May 15; North Country by Roxanne Gay on May 29; and The Oresteia, Agamemnon by Aeschylus on June 5.

The Langhorne/Newtown/Yardley-based group meets in a private home on alternate Wednesdays. The only requirement for attendance is a desire to read and discuss great works of fiction and non-fiction. Attendance is free and light refreshments are served. The cost of reading material is about $1 per meeting. Meetings begin at 7 p.m.
