Statesmanship: The Contribution of Character in Politics will take place Monday, July 29-Friday, Aug. 3. The pre-college summer program, sponsored by the university, John Jay Institute, and the Mid-Atlantic Christian School Association, encourages high school juniors and seniors to think critically about politics — both in history and the present day.
This year’s program focuses on statesmanship and its influence on our understanding of historical and contemporary politics. In addition to participating in informative lectures and discussions, students will also travel to visit politically significant sites in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Students may also elect to earn up to three college credits for the coursework provided by the summer program.
The registration deadline for the program is Saturday, June 1. Those who register before Wednesday, May 1 will receive a $50 discount on the program tuition. Visit cairn.edu/statesmanship for more information.
Cairn University is located at 200 Manor Ave., Langhorne.
