Bristol Jr/Sr High School Drama Club is presenting Beauty and the Beast on Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for students, kids and seniors. The school is located at 1801 Wilson Ave., Bristol.
Before the Saturday matinee, the club is hosting a “Treat Meet and Greet” where little ones can come, in costume if they wish, to enjoy baked goods and treats while meeting the characters from the show. This begins at 12:30 p.m.
After the Sunday performance, a “senior sendoff” will say goodbye to departing senior students Rachel Rolston, who stars as Belle, and Aliyah Berrocal, who plays Mrs. Potts.
Under the direction of Patty Verzella, the Drama Club hosted a special sneak peek of the show at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St., Bristol, on the evening of Feb. 20. Students shared a handful of scenes, including the songs “Belle” and “Gaston” for an intimate group of guests.
