While less than 10 percent of early childhood education centers in the U.S. achieve accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children, The Malvern School of Richboro recently announced it has earned the NAEYC mark of quality for the third time. NAEYC is the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children.

Earning NAEYC accreditation entails a rigorous assessment and observation process focused on 10 program standards and hundreds of corresponding individual criteria. These 10 standards include: relationships with children, curriculum, teaching approaches, child assessment, nutrition and health, staff qualifications, relationships with children’s families, community relations, physical environment, and program leadership and management.

The Malvern School of Richboro received high scores in each of these areas, including scores of more than 100 percent for seven program standards.

“At The Malvern School, we always put the children first,” said Christie Seal, director of educational programs at the school. “This requires maintaining the highest standards of quality in all aspects of our schools — from our loving, degreed teachers and creative, engaging curriculum, to our carefully selected materials, professionally maintained facilities, proactive health and safety measures, and more. Being re-accredited by NAEYC is a testament to The Malvern School of Richboro’s steadfast dedication to this end.”

In the 30 years since NAEYC accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education.

“I couldn’t be prouder of our team,” said Kate Perez, senior executive director of The Malvern School of Richboro. “It’s our shared passion for empowering young children that drives us to provide one of the top early childhood education experiences in the country, and with NAEYC accreditation, families have the added confidence of knowing they are truly investing in their children’s futures.”

Enrollment for school year programming as well as summer camp is currently open at The Malvern School of Richboro, 748 Second Street Pike. For more information or to schedule a tour, visit MalvernSchool.com
