The Times
Kiddie Academy of Langhorne, 670 Woodbourne Road, Building 2, invites local families to share in fun, educational and age-appropriate activities at an indoor STEM Adventures event on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. Activities are based on two themes that combine elements of science, technology, engineering and math in interactive projects that foster learning through play.
Out of this World — making moon sand, creating craters, lunar volcanoes, using force to move rockets, making mini constellations and shooting stars, communication in space and mission control
Fun with Machines — vibrobot scribble machine, marble run, wheel and axle construction, cardboard tube derby, pulley and levers
Kiddie Academy wants local families to see all the ways in which its Life Essentials curriculum taps into children’s natural sense of wonder and discovery as they explore the laws that govern the world around them. The event also aims to provide parents with ideas on how to bring STEM education into the home.
STEM education in early childhood provides opportunities for building the next generation of scientists, engineers, mathematicians and critical thinkers.
