The arts school was slated to open in Bensalem Township for the 2019–2020 academic year

TLC Arts has formally withdrawn its charter school application under consideration by the Bensalem Township School Board.
TLC had planned to open an arts-focused charter high school at the site of the TruMark Financial Credit Union near Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem Township in the 2019–2020 school year. However, the developer of the property has been unable to come to terms with current building owners.
Thomas Lubben, TLC Arts founder and CEO, said he is actively seeking another suitable facility in Lower Bucks County to house the school. The loss of the Bensalem Township site shifts the timetable for the school’s opening to the 2020–2021 school year.
The arts school will offer majors in the areas of dance, figure skating, music, theater, literary arts and visual arts. Students will spend half of their day studying in their major area of interest. The school will open with 250 students and grow to 450.
The school will follow TLC’s charter school model, which is the foundation for four charter arts schools Lubben helped to open in the Lehigh Valley. The same TLC charter was recently approved in Dakota County, Minnesota.
