The Times
Bristol Riverside Theatre will present actress, writer and comedian Candice Guardino’s hit show Italian Bred on Friday, Feb. 15 and Saturday, Feb. 16 with 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. showtimes.
Italian Bred is a hilarious and heartwarming one-woman theatrical comedy, written by and starring Guardino. The story is based on true-life events and told through the eyes of a little girl growing up in Staten Island. Having written down everything her loving and outspoken grandmother ever uttered, Guardino slips in and out of multiple family characters while sharing the stage with virtual cameos of Emmy-winner Leslie Jordan (Will and Grace), Mario Cantone (Sex & the City), Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos) and Vic DiBitetto (Mall Cop 2).
Guardino will perform at BRT after sold out shows in Florida, New York City, Los Angeles, New Jersey and Chicago where she received rave reviews. Italian Bred will remind audiences of their own unique upbringing and unforgettably hilarious childhood memories.
All tickets are $49. Tickets are available by visiting brtstage.org or calling the box office at 215–785–0100. Bristol Riverside Theatre is located at 120 Radcliffe St., Bristol.
