The University of the Arts Sculpture Program presents “In the Round: Recent Works by Members of the Bucks County Community College Sculpture Club” Nov. 14-Dec. 8 at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

This group exhibition consists of 33 works of art by 24 artists who work with a range of media, including cast bronze, welded steel, wood, and mixed media. Branching out from traditional sculptural concerns, much of the work in the show deals with the figure, organic forms and environmental themes. Human, animal and plant forms appear in many works. Kinetic forms, physics and growth processes are explored in others.

The exhibition is in the Sculpture Gallery in Hamilton Hall at the University of the Arts, 320 South Broad St., Philadelphia. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Bucks County Community College Sculpture Club is an extracurricular program based at the college’s Newtown campus. It has been active for 15 years and has a mission of expanding the visibility of sculpture in the community and region. The club is also engaged in educational activities, including visits to artists’ studios and sculpture parks, as well as service to the community. The club advisor is Bucks faculty member Jon Burns.
