This adoption event will take place on Saturday at Women’s Animal Center in Bensalem
The Times
Women’s Animal Center is hosting a “Thankful Fur Second Chances” Adoption Event on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3839 Richlieu Road in Bensalem.
While the fall season is typically marked by a decreased intake of shelter animals, that has not been the case this year at Women’s Animal Center. The shelter has remained at near-capacity since late spring. This lifesaving adoption event aims to free up space at the shelter, finding homes for as many animals as possible before the holidays.
One-day-only adoption specials will feature adopt one, get one free on all cats ($10) and kittens ($20); $50 dogs; $150 puppies; 50% off all small animals (rabbits, gerbils, etc.); and $10 senior dogs and cats (age 8+).
Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, flea/tick treatment, and free services in the Women’s Animal Center Veterinary Hospital. Interested adopters are encouraged to arrive early, as wait times may be long. Complimentary food and refreshments will be available, as well as activities for children.
