Bucks County Community College is presenting Rag Tag Theater’s Cinderella at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Newtown campus.
The classic tale, performed in the Italian street theater style known as commedia dell’arte, features larger-than-life characters, colorful song and dance numbers, amusing pop culture references and a great message for kids about the value of self-worth.
Winner of ‘Best Family Show’ from Off-Broadway Alliance, the show follows a troupe of actors as they present a hilarious musical romp through the well-known fairy tale, with daffy llamas, roller-skating fairy godmothers, selfie-taking step sisters and more.
Cinderella takes place in the Kevin and Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center, located inside the Gateway Center building on the campus at 275 Swamp Road in Newtown, where there is ample free parking. The theater is equipped with audio-loop technology for the hearing impaired.
General admission tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for children. Parking is free. Tickets can be purchased online at bucks.edu/tickets or at the box office. For group sales, call 215–968–8087.
