Join Newtown Presbyterian Church on Dec. 1 for chili, cornbread, salad, dessert and beverage

Join Newtown Presbyterian Church, 25 N Chancellor St., on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for chili (meat or vegetarian), cornbread, salad, dessert and beverage. The Presbyterian Women will sponsor their annual Cookie Sale, and the Eternal Quilters Group will raffle off a handmade quilt in the Grandmothers Garden pattern.
Ticket sale proceeds will be put toward the maintenance and beautification of the Historic Presbyterian Church on Sycamore Street, which was built in 1769. The church is used during the summer for Sunday worship and special occasions.
The Cookie Sale raises money to fund Presbyterian Women benevolences that range from local mission causes as well as regional and international organizations that support at-risk women and children.
Tickets are available at the door. Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children under 12. Ages 3 and under are free. Take-out orders available. For more information, call the church office at 215–968–3861.
