Memory Care Workshop

Bucks County Free Library to offer free program to community to help educate and answer questions about mental fitness and memory impairments

The Times

On Thursday, Nov. 8, the Doylestown Branch of Bucks County Free Library will host a Memory Care Workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Pearl S. Buck Meeting Room. In an effort to offer relevant and valuable adult programming, BCFL will present experts Maureen Riley, director of life enrichment at Pine Run Lakeview, and Cheri Kline, director of education at Pine Run Retirement Community, to discuss important topics and trends pertaining to mental fitness and memory impairment.

The program will examine how to identify common memory impairments like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, the program will examine how to identify memory impairments and distinguish them from “normal” forgetfulness.

Collectively, these experts bring decades of experience to help counsel attendees on the complicated, and sometimes confusing and unanticipated, issues surrounding aging and memory. This free presentation will give valuable information needed in order to anticipate issues and help loved ones manage a diagnosis.

Space is limited. Registration is first come, first served. Contact Michelle Wexler, development director, at 215–348–0332, ext. 1115 or wexlerm@buckslib.org to reserve a seat. For more information, visit buckslib.org
