The all-inclusive, 15-year tradition will take place Oct. 21 in New Hope

For the past 15 years, tradition has been kept alive with the High Heel Drag Race, the highlight of New Hope’s fall season. Originally hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce, the event was taken over by New Hope Celebrates in 2015.
“We are grateful to keep this long-standing tradition alive,” said New Hope Celebrates president Matt Hanson.
The High Heel Drag Race is an all-inclusive event, representing the diversity and acceptance of all that is indigenous to New Hope. Both male and female participants alike will don high heels and carry a pumpkin up the hill on Mechanic Street. They will decorate it and return down the hill.
The event will take place Sunday, Oct. 21 on Mechanic St., New Hope. Registration is at 4:30 p.m. For more information visit newhopecelebrates.com
