Bucks County municipalities awarded state funding

Seven organizations and municipalities in the 6th Senatorial District have been awarded state funding for projects that will provide public infrastructure updates, flood mitigation and recreation opportunities for area residents.

The grants and loans were awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.

“I am pleased that our region will benefit from this much-needed state funding for important public improvements to better serve area residents and businesses,” said state Sen. Tommy Tomlinson. “These local projects will help to contribute to our local economy and improve the quality of life for those who live here.”

Bristol Borough Water and Sewer Authority will receive a $361,845 grant to upgrade the Pond Street pump station, including replacement of the pumps and controls, modifications to the existing structures, new piping, telemetry equipment and a backup generator system.

The borough of Penndel will receive a $213,155 grant for improvements to the sanitary sewer lines within the borough’s collection system.

Warwick Township Water and Sewer Authority earned a $65,965 grant for a water main extension.

Bristol Borough is getting a $167,450 grant for a flood mitigation study on Adams Hollow and Otter Creek.

Bensalem Township will be given a $94,127 grant to make accessibility improvements to Bensalem Central Park.

Northampton Township will use a $237,567 grant to design and construct the New Road Trailhead as a link to its municipal park.

The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Bucks was awarded a $140,904 grant for a Phase II environmental site assessment of the Bensalem Drum Dump site. ••
