With demand for tickets as hot as the current heatwave, Bucks County Playhouse’s producing team announced a two-week extension of its hit production of the Tony Award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet. The show, originally scheduled to close on Saturday, Sept. 15, will now close Saturday, Sept. 29.

“Audiences have embraced this production of Million Dollar Quartet and this incredibly talented cast of actor-musicians who perform live onstage every night. We are lucky they were available to extend the production for two additional weeks, so theatergoers can have 16 more chances to rock out with this super high energy show,” said producing director Alexander Fraser.

Million Dollar Quartet takes audiences inside one of the most magical nights in rock and roll history. The high voltage musical is inspired by the true story of a famed recording session that brought together four music icons — Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carol Perkins — for an infamous all-night jam session. Songs include legendary hits like “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Walk the Line,” “Hound Dog” and “Folsom Prison Blues.”

The production will play the following schedule: Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays at 2 p.m.; Thursdays at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m. There are additional evening performances on Wednesday, Sept. 12 and Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Single tickets to Million Dollar Quartet are on sale. Tickets currently start at $45. Special rates are available for groups of 10 or more. For more details, visit buckscountyplayhouse.org, call 215–862–2121 or visit the box office at 70 South Main Street in New Hope.
