The Pennsylvania chapter of the Sierra Club has endorsed Democrat Scott Wallace in the 1st Congressional District

The Pennsylvania chapter of the Sierra Club has endorsed Democrat Scott Wallace over Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick in the 1st Congressional District.
Jim Wylie, chairman of the environmental organization’s Southeastern PA group, said, “We look forward to working with Scott on environmental and renewable energy transition initiatives across the country and in the Bucks County area. Resisting the expansion of fossil fuel infrastructure and protecting and improving our air and water quality are priorities for all of our members and supporters.”
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Sierra Club.” Wallace said. “I have spent much of my career protecting and advancing environmental rights all across the globe and to empower grassroots movements to raise awareness and fight climate change, and hasten the transition to a prosperous clean-energy future, with jobs, economic opportunity and a healthier planet for all. I’m looking forward to having Sierra Club as an ally as I fight in Congress to reinstate the Paris Climate Agreement, the Clean Power Plan and restore the EPA’s ability to regulate climate pollution so we can start cleaning up the air and water right here in PA-01.” ••
