State Rep. Tina Davis last week announced $497,621 awarded to improve traffic safety at multiple intersections in Bristol Township.

According to Davis, the state’s Green Light-Go program will provide the funds to modernize two traffic signals at the intersections of New Falls, Woodbourne, Edgely and Emilie roads; and Edgely and Mill Creek roads.

“Safety is a top priority, and this funding is critical in protecting both drivers and pedestrians in my community,” Davis said. “I will keep advocating to bring modern technology to Bucks County with the ability of making upgrades that can potentially prevent tragedy and save lives.”

Green Light-Go funding may be used for a range of improvements including light-emitting diode (LED) technology installation, traffic signal retiming, developing special event plans and monitoring traffic signals as well as upgrading traffic signals to the latest technologies. ••
