From July 4th celebrations to concerts and comedy shows, there’s plenty to do around Bucks County this week

JULY 4

Fourth of July Fireworks: Fireworks will begin immediately following the 9 p.m. performance of the Neighborhood Street Party Night Parade at Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road in Langhorne. Entry into Sesame Place will be limited 5 minutes prior to the start of fireworks. For information, visit sesameplace.com

Lower Southampton July 4th Parade: The parade will begin at Second Street and Bustleton Pike in Feasterville at 1 p.m. The parade will feature the Philadelphia Eagles Pep Band, South Philadelphia and Uptown string bands, entertainer Jody King, the Boogie Dogs Band, the Jazz Vespers Dixieland Band, DJB Jug Band, local and visiting fire companies, floats, antique and classic cars, government representatives, the Lower Southampton Police Honor Guard, community organizations, and bicycle and baby parade and more.

Blood Drive: The American Red Cross is seeking blood donors. A drive will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. at Northampton Township Library, 25 Upper Holland Road in Richboro. For information, visit RedCrossBlood.org, download the Red Cross Blood Donor App or call 1–800-RED CROSS.

Farmers Market of Hatboro: The Farmers Market of Hatboro, sponsored by The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce, is located on the premises of The Hatboro Baptist Church, 32 N. York Road in Hatboro. Butterfly House Tour: This event will take place at Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane in Churchville, at 11 a.m. The Butterfly House at Churchville will be open through mid-September and will include a variety of special events. Flutter passes (a season pass) are available for purchase. Butterfly house tours are free for Churchville Nature Center members and cost $5 for children ages 4–13 and $8 for adults. Flea Market: This event will be held at the VFW Post 1597, 901 Bellevue Ave. in Croydon, from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No charge for space rentals. Donations accepted for veterans table. For information, call 267–307–7916.

Saturday Morning Bird Watching: The Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane in Churchville, hosts this event for amateur ornithologists from 7 to 9 a.m. An experienced bird watcher will tour the grounds with a group. For information, call 215–357–4005 or visit churchvillenaturecenter.org

Summer Gala Concert Series: The Lenape Chamber Ensemble’s Summer Gala Concert season opens with a Sonatina for Violin and Piano by Jean Sibelius; the Beethoven Razumovsky String Quartet №2 written in 1806; and a piano Quintet by Czech composer Zdenek Fibich. The concert will be held at 8 p.m. at Delaware Valley University’s Life Sciences Auditorium, 700 E. Butler Ave. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and are available online at lenapechamberensemble.org, at the door or by calling 610–294–9361.

Volunteer Work Day: This event will take place at Silver Lake Nature Center, 1306 Bath Road in Bristol, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Silver Lake Nature Center needs help maintaining their grounds. Volunteers should bring a refillable water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes. Those who volunteer for four hours get a free lunch. This event is rain or shine. JULY 8

Magic: the Gathering: Comic Archive, 319 W. Main St. in Lansdale, hosts this event at 2 p.m. This classic family-friendly card game enhances strategic thinking and skills while teaching good sportsmanship. Admission is free. Weekend Walk-In Tours: This event takes place at the Michener Art Museum, 138 S. Pine St. in Doylestown, at 2 p.m. Weekend walk-in tours are free with paid admission and open to the public. Andalusia Historic House Tours: Tour the Andalusia Mansion, 1237 State Road in Bensalem, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, except for major holidays. Enjoy a self-guided garden tour of Andalusia Mansion, a national historic landmark and home of Nicholas Biddle. See original furnishings, art and decorative arts and learn about the history of Andalusia. Reservations required. Space is limited. Cost is $20 per person.
