The Bucks County Community Foundation began in 2014. It grew out of other nonprofit organizations in order to help more people throughout the area and not just in one township or borough. It is made up of a dedicated group of local professionals and business people throughout the county that are giving back to the community where they live and work.

The BCCF has one common purpose — to help those in need. No one in the organization makes any money, with every dollar raised going directly toward helping fund its mission. Many fundraising events are held throughout the year including Christmas tree sales, car shows, the Bucks County Fair, charity bingos, and community service award banquets, among others.

The organization has various programs it currently supports including Feeding the Hungry, veteran support, scholarship programs, Middletown Community Service Corps., and others.

Since its inception, BCCF has:

— Supplied hundreds of local families in need with holiday gift cards

— Helped local homeless veterans by supplying food, clothing and tents

— Major sponsor of bringing the Vietnam Memorial Wall to Penndel in 2017

— Given more than $17,000 to local food banks throughout Bucks County

— Supported the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force

— Given $10,000 in the last two years to ‘Friends of Tech’ at Bucks County Technical High School for equipment for financially troubled students/families

— Awarded approximately $17,000 in college scholarships to date
