The annual Strawberry Festival celebrating the beginning of summer will be held on the grounds of the Historic Presbyterian Church of Newtown, 76 N. Sycamore Street on Saturday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be held at Newtown Presbyterian Church, 25 N. Chancellor Street.
Once again, this yearās event promises to be a time of fun for the entire family. The featured item of the day will be strawberry shortcake (made with fresh-picked berries from Shady Brook Farms). Activities will include music, food, childrenās yoga (from 11:30 to 11:50 a.m. and 2 to 2:20 p.m.), games, face painting, balloon art, prizes and a visit from Disneyās Moana (from 12 to 1:30Ā p.m.).
Attendees will have the chance to win prizes from a large assortment of raffle baskets featuring items from area merchants, themed baskets, childrenās toys, etc. In addition, Lancaster County sharp cheese, strawberry jams and breads, chocolate dipped strawberries and cookies will beĀ sold.
