U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-8th dist.) launched his Community Leaders Coalition.

The coalition is comprised of 76 local leaders — including mayors, supervisors, council members, school directors and tax collectors from across Bucks and Montgomery counties — endorsing Brian Fitzpatrick for Congress.

“Brian Fitzpatrick has consistently championed solutions to our most pressing issues. As vice chair of the Bipartisan Heroin Task Force, he has won national accolades as a leader in the fight against the scourge of opioids and has authored legislation granting additional resources and support to our law enforcement. Time and time again, Brian Fitzpatrick has delivered for our communities,” said Bensalem Mayor Joe DiGirolamo.

Fitzpatrick has already been endorsed by the Bucks County Republican Committee.

In the primary, Fitzpatrick will face former Yardley Councilwoman Valerie Mihalek and Dean Malik, an Iraq War veteran and former Bucks County assistant district attorney.

Democratic candidates are progressive activist Steve Bacher; lawyer and U.S. Navy veteran Rachel Reddick; and wealthy lawyer Scott Wallace, the grandson of former Vice President Henry Wallace.

“Our work as local elected officials continues to sustain our communities as world-class places to live, work, and raise a family. Building on this continued success requires a partner like Brian Fitzpatrick, who is not only responsive to local concerns, but also promotes an agenda that advances economic growth and public safety in our communities. We are proud to support Brian Fitzpatrick,” said Warminster Township Supervisor Dan McPhillips.

Northampton Township Supervisor Eileen Silver said, “This November, Bucks and Montgomery County voters will face a choice of whether we build on our continued success, or whether we take a step backwards. Brian Fitzpatrick is the only candidate in the race for Congress with a proven record of working for our residents to keep our communities safe and prosperous.” ••
