StoneMor Partners recently announced that its employees, through the company’s charitable arm, MorInvolved, donated funds in the sum of $12,000 to American Red Cross natural disaster relief programs in Puerto Rico following the devastating impact of hurricanes Irma and Maria last fall.
In addition to those funds raised by its employees, StoneMor Partners agreed to match that sum, bringing the total amount raised for disaster relief up to $24,000. StoneMor was honored to provide the matching funds to a representative for the American Red Cross Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief.
“We are so proud of our employees’ inspiring generosity and selfless action in raising money for the people of Puerto Rico,” said StoneMor CEO R. Paul Grady. “We wish a safe and speedy recovery to all those affected by the storms, and we feel fortunate to have been able to assist them during such a trying time.”
Through MorInvolved, StoneMor’s employees volunteer to assist both local and national charities. In the past, MorInvolved has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the Alzheimer’s Association, Toys for Tots and more. This most recent fundraising effort represents a reaffirmation of StoneMor’s commitment to bettering the lives of others through service and giving.
