On Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11, Northampton Township will host a special ceremony at 2 p.m. to recognize local veterans and unveil the Veterans Memorial Paver Bricks.
The Veterans Memorial Walk of Honor will take place in front of the Township Building, 55 Township Rd. in Richboro by the Flagpoles and Memorial Monument.
A Color Guard will be provided by the Marine Corps League Patriot Detachment who will post the colors. Hailey Brown will then sing the National Anthem.
During the ceremony, four veterans from the township will be identified for inclusion and will be considered Honored Guests. These veterans will represent the following eras: WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq/Afghanistan.
Local officials are invited. The ceremony is expected to last approximately 30 minutes. Refreshments and snacks will be provided afterward.
The paver program was put together by the township’s Veterans Advisory Commission and consists of memorial pavers that may be purchased by or for a resident of Northampton Township or a family member that had served in the Armed Forces of the United States.
