Bail has been set at $300,000 cash

Bensalem Police arrested 47 year old Shannon “Shawn” Westmoreland from West Chester, PA and charged him with sexually assaulting three juveniles.
One assault occurred in 2005 when Westmoreland was a football coach at Bensalem Rambler’s Athletic Association. The juvenile victim was 15 at the time of the assault. He is also charged with sexually assaulting another juvenile from the age of four until she was nine or ten years old. Westmoreland is also charged with sexually assaulting a third juvenile when she was six years old in 1999 and again when she was 18 in 2011.
Police have yet to release a statement as to why Westmoreland’s arrest has occurred so many years later.
Westmoreland is charged with Rape, Rape of a Child under Age of 13, Rape of a Child, Statutory Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault of a Child and other related offenses.
He was arraigned at 8 p.m. last night, June 28, by Judge Deatelhauser, who was covering for the on call District Court 7–2–05 (Quakertown). Westmoreland was transported to Bucks County Prison after his arraignment by PA State Constables.
Judge Deatelhauser set bail at $300,000 cash.
