The Congressional Leadership Fund, the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, last week announced it will allocate $10 million to 12 competitive races across the country, including the 8th Congressional District.
The PAC will spend $1.18 million on behalf of Republican Brian Fitzpatrick. The expenditures will include broadcast and cable television and online advertising, beginning on Oct. 25.
“This is the first wave of efficient, strategic ad reservations,” said Mike Shields, president of the Congressional Leadership Fund. “We will continue to add to these buys in the coming weeks, including more television advertising, digital advertising and further ground troop investments. Our historically strong fundraising has put us in a position to not only protect Republicans in tough races, but also to take the fight to Democrats on their turf.”
Fitzpatrick faces Democrat Steve Santarsiero, a state representative.
