The Greater Philadelphia Zionist Organization of America will salute Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick for his pro-Israel and pro-America activities at the group’s annual gala, which will take place on Sept. 15 at the Hilton on City Avenue in Philadelphia.
Fitzpatrick will receive the Friend of Zion Award for his introduction and co-sponsor of bills and resolutions to benefit Israel and the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Author, columnist and commentator Andy McCarthy will receive the Ben Hecht Award for Outstanding Journalism. He will also deliver the keynote address.
Cherry Hill Jewish communal leaders Amy and Eric Clayman will receive the Pillars of the Community Award.
Wilmington’s Rabbi Steven Saks will receive the Guardian of Israel Award.
Dom Giordano, a talk show host on WPHT (1210 AM), will be master of ceremonies.
