WirePOLITICS: Farry to host Senior Expo on Oct. 16

Tom Waring, the Wire

State Rep. Frank Farry invites senior citizens who reside in the 142nd Legislative District and their caregivers to his annual Senior Expo on Friday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Neshaminy Senior Activity Center, located at 1842 Brownsville Road in Trevose.

“The purpose of this expo is to inform older Pennsylvanians of the many options that exist to address their unique needs,” Farry said. “The expo will be both fun and informative, so I hope as many seniors as possible will attend.”

Representatives from local, state and federal agencies, the health care industry and community organizations will be available to address concerns and answer questions that seniors or their caregivers may have. A variety of free health care screenings will also be available.

The Bucks County Recorder of Deeds will be on hand to issue photo identification cards to veterans that entitle them to special discounts at local businesses. Veterans are required to bring and show their original DD-214 honorable discharge form to obtain this ID.

The event is free to attend, and no advance registration is required. For additional information, call Farry’s office at 215–752–6750, or visit RepFarry.com
