Comedy Open Mic:

Rain Barrells: The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Alliance will hold a workshop at Rowland Community Center, 400 Myrtle Avenue in Cheltenham from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Experts will present information on how to save and manage water and how rain barrells improve water quality, Participants can reserve a rain barrel to pick up later. Friday Movie: The Huntingdon Valley Library, 625 Red Lion Road in Huntingdon Valley, will screen The Long Goodbye from 2 to 4 p.m. Starring Elliott Gould, Nina van Pallandt and Sterling Hayden, it’s the story of a private eye who must prove his friend isn’t a murderer. Kid’s Club: The Abington Club, 300 Meetinghouse Road in Jenkintown, offers a Family Friendly Friday Night program from 6 to 9 p.m. Children four to 12 years old can play games, swim and meet great friends. Car Seat Safety Check: This event will take place at Abington Memorial Hospital, 1200 Old York Road, from 8 a.m. to noon. During a child safety seat check, child passenger safety technicians will teach you how to correctly transport your children and to make sure that everyone in the vehicle is buckled up on every ride. Spring Concert: The Academy Chamber Singers and Chambers Society presents a concert at Christ’s Lutheran Church, 700 Pennsylvania Avenue in Orelad, A at 4 p.m. Sponsored by the Academy Community Concerts Association, the concert will feature music by Henk Badings, Aaron Copland, Arthur Honegger, and Ralph Vaughan.
