Work will begin within two months to repair and reopen the bridge on Gravel Hill Road over Mill Creek in Upper Southampton.
“We’re looking to start as fast as possible. It’s been closed for quite some time,” said Bucks County director of operations Gerald Anderson.
The County received 10 bids for the project. Last week, the Board of Commissioners awarded the contract to Professional Construction Contractors Inc. from Bethlehem, for $248,859.50, the lowest bid. The highest bid was approximately $613,380.
The single-lane bridge has been closed since March 26 of last year due to severe weather deterioration.
