The Jesse W. Soby American Legion Post #148 of Langhorne will present its 99th annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade on Monday

On Monday, May 28, the Jesse W. Soby American Legion Post #148 of Langhorne will present its 99th annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. on the lawn of the Post located at 115 W. Richardson Avenue, with the parade commencing immediately afterward through the streets of Langhorne.

This year’s guest speaker will be Chris Blaydon, a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and former mayor of Langhorne Borough. Musical guests include the Neshaminy High School Marching Band, Avalon String Band, the Tri-County Band, the Patriot Brass Ensemble and the Nashville Cats.

The day will again include a “Bicycle Parade” for kids to decorate their bikes patriotically and ride in the parade to be judged for prizes at the Will Travel parking lot immediately following.

After the parade, everyone is invited to join members of the Post for complimentary hot dogs and beverages in the rear parking lot.
