Are you hungry yet?

If so, your cravings are sure to be satisfied at one of the 14 restaurants participating in Ambler Restaurant Week, which runs through Jan. 27. From top-rated Saffron to Best of Philly winner Forest & Main, there is something to please every palate.

“This is actually the fourth restaurant week we’ve done. We started in July of 2011,” explained Allison Wolf, coordinator of the event for Ambler Main Street and owner of The Ambler Flower and Chocolate Shop. “We hold it twice a year and it grows each time we do it. We do it every January and every July.”

The concept of the weeklong event is for participating restaurants to create multiple-course, pre-fixed menus ranging between $20 and $40. Some restaurants are BYOB and others are offering an optional beverage pairing for an additional cost. Tax and gratuity are not included in the fixed price.

“There’s a great variety in terms of cuisine. It’s really varied,” Wolf said. “There’s American upscale cuisine, there’s Italian, there’s Indian, Portuguese, Mexican… so it’s pretty much something to suit everyone.

“It brings in tons of people every time. It’s great because while sometimes the weekdays can be a little sleepy, especially this time of year, it brings thousands into town during restaurant week,” she added.

The pre-fixed menus are available online at www.amblerrestaurantweek.com. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
